Head to the Maya village of San Antonio, where the Mesh family grows, harvests, and roasts organic coffee on their small hillside farm. Oxmul—named after the village’s original Yucatec Maya name, Ox Mul Kah—produces 100% Belizean coffee using traditional shade-growing methods. You’ll walk the farm, learn the full process from picking ripe coffee cherries to roasting and grinding, and finish with a freshly brewed cup.
Round-trip transportation, guided farm tour with the Mesh family, hands-on coffee roasting and grinding experience, and a fresh cup of Oxmul coffee. Allow 3-4 hours.
This is an easy, low-impact tour suitable for all fitness levels. Wear comfortable shoes and lightweight clothing. Bring sunscreen and water. Bags of Oxmul coffee are available for purchase at the farm—cash is recommended. This tour pairs well with a visit to Green Hills Butterfly Ranch or the San Antonio Women’s Cooperative.
